Three people now face charges in the case of a Georgia woman who went missing after she left a jail near Atlanta and whose remains were later located in Hamilton County, Tennessee.

That's according to a report from WSB-TV in Atlanta.

Officials say 20-year-old Maury-Ange Martinez vanished in August 2023 after she left a jail in Cobb County.

Someone found her remains near the 7600 block of Ferdinand Piech Way, which is near the Gestamp plant, back in January. Authorities confirmed the remains were Martinez's in June.

Two men and a woman now face charges. Allen Kerr, Sean Deshazer and Jasmine Craig are charged with concealing Martinez's death. Kerr and Deshazer were already in custody on unrelated charges. Police in Kansas caught up with Craig.

Martinez's mother told WSB-TV, "I know just to get to the point they’re at right now was a lot of work and I’m so thankful for everything that they have done up to this point. I’m confident in the investigators that are on the case they’ve been amazing, I feel like they’ve worked very diligently."

Right now, investigators still haven't said exactly how Martinez died.
