Olivia Culpo in Two-Piece Workout Gear Eats Fast Food on a Plane
Olivia Culpo is flying private and eating fast food – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the bride-to-be scarfs down a burger and fries in a sports bra while on a plane. "Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does the model and reality star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Olivia recently divulged on how she is getting her body ready for her wedding to Christian McCaffrey. "Lately I've been really enjoying Pilates," she told ET. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health." It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
She is also prioritizing self-care. "I'm big on keeping up with hydration and adding electrolytes to my water, especially when traveling. Sleep is also very important for me, and I always start my day with journaling and zero screen time. It's easier said than done, but very worth it," she added.
Olivia is one of the many stars who enjoys cold therapy. "My fiancé has me hooked on cold plunges," she said. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.
Running is another one of her go-to workouts. "I also love to run around with my dog, which ends up feeling like a significant workout these days," the social media explained. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.
Olivia is also a fan of old school strength training and high intensity interval training. "I have a trainer I see for more HIIT type workouts, and I do at-home workouts with resistance bands," she told ET. There is lots of research backing up the benefits of HIIT workouts, including body fat reduction, improved cardiovascular function, and mental health. It is also time effective.
Olivia eats healthy most of the time. "I swear by the 80/20 rule: 80 percent clean eating, 20 percent splurging. I grew up in a big Italian family, so I will never say no to homemade pizza and pasta," she told ET.
