Puddle Of Mudd In Turmoil During UK tour
DONCASTER, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has had a tough few shows in the band's tour of the UK, with Scantlin appearing to be intoxicated during shows.
According to the Doncaster Free Press, fans left the concert at the Gloucester Guildhall feeling disappointed by the band's performance.
Commenting on the Guildhall's Facebook page after the show, one fan Amy Evans wrote: "Last nights performance was distressing to say the least, how it was decided Wes was fit to play ill (sic) never know but its (sic) a good job his band held it together somehow."
The show at the Guildhall follows a sold-out concert at the 500-capacity Diamond Live Lounge in Doncaster. After a short performance that saw Scantlin drinking from a bottle of alcohol on stage, and boasted about being high on crack cocaine, the other members of the band walked offstage, leaving Scantlin seated on stage, making obscene gestures to people in the wings and talking about how the band refused to play with him.
“It was an absolute shambles,” a member of the audience told the Doncaster Free Press. “He was walking on and off stage and was talking about being high on crack cocaine.”
Scantlin, who has been arrested numerous times over the course of his career, had a similar on-stage meltdown last month during a concert in Ohio, when he stopped the show and accused a member of the audience of stealing his house.
Here's a video of Scantlin at Diamond Live Lounge. Be warned, there is quite a bit of frank language.
